Noble gas radioisotopes are ideal environmental tracers because of their chemical inertness. The emerging technique Atom Trap Trace Analysis (ATTA) is enabling routine measurement of these tracers. For ATTA analysis up to 200 L of groundwater are degassed in the field, and from the extracted 5 – 10 L of gas the Kr and Ar fraction has to be separated. The goal of the master thesis is to help developing such a separation setup.
